The holidays are upon us, which can definitely be a stressful time for our students as is the case for any college student.  Our students must get down to business and proceed to study for exams or complete final projects. As staff, it is our job to help students finish strong so they may fully enjoy the upcoming vacation with their respective families.  Broken into the academic routine are quite a few festivities where staff and students come together to celebrate the holidays. Such an event occurred on the evening of December 1st during a festive celebration at Mallozzi’s Banquet & Ballroom.

As you can see frholidaydancingom the photographs, it was a wonderful experience for everybody in attendance! We dined on delicious food, and there was h0liday music and a variety of other tunes that prompted everybody on the dance floor.  Everything from, “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus” to “The Macarena” drove our students and alumni to party with Noel-ish passion.

We are in the throes of the holiday season here at the College Experience.  Some more spurts of yuletide cheer are scheduled to follow.  In the weeks leading up to break, there will be time

There will be time to bake cookies, create holiday cards, and shop for gifts for family and friends. We also encourage students to think of others during this time of the year and the topic assigned during my Creative Writing class last Friday was, “Benevolence.”  It was a reminder that this time of the year is not just about presents, but thinking how it is possible to make the world a better place an

d maintain momentum during the upcoming New Year!  It was enjoyable to hear about their work with the elderly, volunteer work, and other values that comprise what we look for in our talented students.  Hold onto your hats for additional photographs and Holiday adventures!
