The College Experience Program is available to out-of-state residents and students who do not qualify for the NYS Medicaid Waiver and SSI as a tuition-based option. Tuition includes room and board, academic classes, academic support, residential staffing, local transportation, and weekly groceries, and a small campus meal plan. All students receive their own fully furnished bedroom.
Our program gives young adults with developmental disabilities the opportunity to participate in an innovative educational experience in a residential college setting. The College Experience prepares students to live independently with confidence and work in competitive employment.
Students are required to submit the following documentation along with the application and one-page essay:
- Most recent psychological evaluation
- High-school transcripts
- Two Recommendation Forms from non-family members
- Parent/Guardian Assessment of Daily Living Skills Form
