Professors of the College Experience Program combine their experiences of classroom and collegiate level teaching with their knowledge of the needs of individuals with disabilities to create an atmosphere that is ripe for learning. Small group instruction allows students to feel comfortable sharing in class discussions and asking insightful questions. Students expand their minds by reflecting and generalizing on their experiences. Classroom and homework assignments can include multimedia projects, reading assignments, writing assignments and attending academic and arts events. All courses are graded based on class participation, effort, homework completion and projects. Students must receive passing grades each semester.
With a wide range of courses specifically designed with our students in mind and taught by Saint Rose master's and doctoral qualified adjuncts, graduates will move on to the next chapter of their lives with a solid foundation of skills, abilities and experience.
