LIVING RESOURCES is a private not-for-profit agency that has been dedicated to providing innovative, life-enhancing opportunities for individuals with disabilities in the Capital Region of New York State for more than three decades. Beginning with the opening of their first home for adults with developmental disabilities in Schenectady in 1974, they have grown, energized by a vision of helping people with disabilities live life as productive, capable members of the community.

Living Resources now provides more than 1,300 individuals and their families with a full array of services including residential care and programs of habilitation; education in basic living skills; independent living placement and supervision; social, recreational and leisure time activities; service coordination; licensed day services; structured after school programs for children receiving special education; vocational assistance and employment services; therapy for people with acquired brain injury; supportive counseling; respite services; fine arts enrichment; and clinical services through the licensed and certified home health care programs. Their mission is to promote and provide life enhancing services to individuals with disabilities in a safe and secure environment.

THE COLLEGE OF SAINT ROSE has 5,000 students enrolled in 65 undergraduate and 45 graduate fields of study. With a 14:1 student-to-teacher ratio and an average class size of 20, the faculty's first priority is teaching and mentoring students. Saint Rose also offers a values-based education - cultivating students to become energetic citizen leaders through extensive service opportunities locally, in other parts of the U.S. and in Honduras.

Thelma P. Lally School of Education opened in 2003 with the Emery Educational and Clinical Services Center, the Carl E. Touhey Forum and state-of-the-art classrooms and labs. With the recently completed Massry Center for the Arts and the Center for Communications and Interactive Media, Saint Rose has transformed its campus and the educational experience for its students.

The College values its partnership with Living Resources through the College Experience Program.
