Students live in a house or apartment with 3-4 other students. The residences are
within walking distance of the campus and many local businesses, such as Price Chopper,
CVS, the Madison Theater, and the Muddy Cup Coffeehouse.
As a freshman, staff is available to teach the skills required for independent living; however, as students become seniors and gain more independence, the staff does not directly supervise students but still works with students during scheduled times to work on residential goals. The College of Saint Rose resident advisor (RA) is available every other weekend to engage students in events and activities.
Students get involved in campus events and clubs on weeknights and weekends. Many students attend SADD meetings and Circle K meetings as well as campus events (concerts, comedians, lectures, game night, open mic night) several times a week. Many outings are planned for the weekends, such as the Adirondack Balloon Festival, the Columbus Day Parade, and hikes in Grafton Park. A Community Coordinator assists students in learning about these opportunities and following through on attending them.
